This property consists of primary forest, secondary forest, regeneration area (1.5 hectares suitable for construction) and a beautiful lagoon of natural origin which fulfills the ecological function of a micro-wetland. The property has an extension of 75.5 hectares.
It has water springs, and a collection tank of more than 7 liters per second (the community owns a water concession of 2.32 liters per second, leaving a great availability for use of the farm), it is a place of enormous scenic beauty and ecological importance, for which it is subject to the environmental conservation program of FONAFIFO, under the water resource forest protection contract. It is also within the voluntary forest regime, which is why it is exempt from taxes and is also within the area of influence of the Bosque de Agua biological corridor.
Likewise, this conservation property is the habitat of many natural species, among which just over 13.5% of the total of all bird species in Costa Rica stand out, as well as the habitat of representative species such as: the white-faced monkey, the puma, the peccary, among others.
A beautiful lagoon stands out, which is a refuge for numerous birds and a large number of species of flora and fauna. With great eco-tourism potential.
The property can be used for: Environmental conservation, ecotourism, bird watching and other natural species, as well as for bottling spring water (the water concession and respective permits must be obtained).
Currently there are no buildings within the farm.
Access to the farm: The road begins at a new bridge over the Volcán River that leads to Sabanillas. From there you go up to the end of the street on a path only suitable for a 4x4 car. The last kilometer of the road is not built, but it is a public street. The last kilometer of the property is traveled on horseback.
